Yellow Sapphire
This
name is given to the yellow category of the corundum.
Earlier it was known as “oriental topaz”.
It occurs in many shades of yellow like canary yellow, gold,
honey and brownish yellow. The lighter and the brighter
ones are most common. Most of the yellow sapphires are
from Sri-Lanka and only a small proportion from Australia. They
worth less then pink and blue variety.
